Our Story

Since its inception, Mac Davis Flooring has built upon the four decades of its family’s experience in the flooring industry to become Nantucket and Cape Cod’s most experienced and trustworthy flooring company. Mac Davis Flooring specializes in selling, installing, refinishing and repairing custom hardwood flooring, engineered hardwood flooring and luxury vinyl tile flooring.

With over 25 years’ experience in the flooring industry, Mac proves to be a hands-on businessman involved in every aspect of the company. An island native, Mac graduated from Nantucket High School in 1995 and went on to study Business and Marketing at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After a decade of working in the flooring business, Mac founded Mac Davis Flooring in 2006, on the principle of supplying quality craftsmanship with local affordability. As an NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) member, Mac prides himself on supplying his clients with the best products possible, traveling consistently within the ever-growing flooring industry to attend the most up to date classes and seminars. In collaboration with local builders and designers, Mac is able to supply cutting edge quality craftsmanship that stands out from the rest. When not in the showroom, at the jobsite, or meeting with clients, Mac is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with his wife, Leah, and his two young daughters, Mia and Stella at the beach and out in nature.

Chuck Davis, a Nantucket local, attended Nantucket High School in the 60s before studying Police Sciences in Florida. He served as a police officer in Deerfield Beach (Florida) and Nantucket before founding Davis Flooring on the island in 1990. Retiring in 2012, Chuck later joined Mac Davis Flooring in 2014 as Lead Project Manager, contributing over two decades of flooring industry experience.

In 2021, Chuck Davis retired from his role as Lead Project Manager at Mac Davis Flooring. His legacy includes significant contributions to the company's success. Post-retirement, Chuck enjoys quality time with his wife, Maria, engaging in activities like fishing, golfing, and relaxing in Florida.

Michaela Lampe– Office Manager (Nantucket)

Michaela became a year-round resident of Nantucket in 2010, after spending a few summers on the island and falling in love with the atmosphere. Before becoming a year-round resident of Nantucket, she graduated from New Bulgarian University with a bachelor’s degree in Art Studies and Art Management. Michaela joined the Mac Davis Flooring team in September 2017.

As the Nantucket Office Manager, Michaela brings with her almost a decade of experience with customer service and client relations. Before being part of the MDF team, Michaela worked as a gallery manager on the island, which allowed her to expand her knowledge of Nantucket home décor and work with a wide variety of island residents and visitors. Delivering outstanding customer service has always been an essential part of a day’s work for Michaela. As the Nantucket Office Manager, she is responsible for all office procedures and uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment. When she is not in the showroom working with clients, Michaela enjoys spending her time with her husband Dean, and their French bulldogs Dudley and Sly, cooking and working out at the gym.

Dessi Kehayova – Sales

Libby Jaxtimer – Office Manager (Osterville)

Libby joined the Mac Davis Team in the Fall of 2019. Prior to her move to Cape Cod, Libby graduated from Roger Williams University and went on to earn her Master’s in Psychology at the University of Leicester in England. She then went to work for Gosnold, Inc. in Falmouth. Libby’s organizational skills and diverse background make her the perfect addition to the Mac Davis Flooring team. When Libby is not in the showroom, she enjoys spending time on the water with her husband, Jonathan, and her dog, Milo.

Ashley Entwisle– Project Manager (Osterville)

Born on Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage Alaska, Ashley moved to Cape Cod at a young age to be near her family. She graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth High School and went on to Western New England University where she graduated first in her class in Entrepreneurship and earned her certification in SAP. During her studies she earned an internship with LEGO Cooperate Office before she decided to move back to Cape Cod where she entered the building industry as head of hardscape purchasing for 5 years. In February 2019 Ashley joined Mac Davis Flooring to expand the Osterville team. Ashley brings a true passion for home building and design as well as understanding the intricacy of commercial and residential projects. She is actively involved with local industry organizations and continuing her education for the building industry. In Ashley’s free time you will find her gardening, working on her home, or at the beach with a book.

Tim Trudel – Project Manager (Nantucket)

Originally from New Jersey, Tim became a full time Nantucket wash ashore in the early 2000’s. Tim found a home at Mac Davis Flooring after years in the trades learning the ins and outs of the industry. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Meg, their dog Murph, and fishing.

Keti Desmarais – Sales and Marketing

Keti moved to Cape Cod in 2014 after earning her Master’s Degree in Marketing Management at the European University in Macedonia. Prior to joining Mac Davis Flooring Keti worked as a Marketing Administrator for one of the largest retail real estates - Simon Property Group. Keti’s marketing expertise runs across channels from digital marketing and social media to traditional advertising and market research. Outside of Mac Davis Flooring Keti enjoys spending time at the beach and exploring new traveling destinations with her husband Kevin.

Abbey Skeffington – Sales Assistant

Hailing from Providence, RI,  Abby holds a degree in Operations Management with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her exceptional communication and customer service skills, nurtured during her six-year tenure in the food and beverage industry, set her apart in her role at Mac Davis Flooring.  Abby is renowned for her outstanding organizational skills and dedicated commitment to timely efficiency. Outside of work, Abby enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. Her knack for organization and communication shines as she assists clients at Mac Davis Flooring

Nick Roberts– Sales

Nick grew up in the Foxboro area of Massachusetts and currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island, with his fiancée, Rachel, and their French Bulldog, Mac. Nick studied Criminal Justice and played Lacrosse at Springfield College and Bridgewater State University, where he was the captain of the lacrosse team and graduated in 2018. His career has evolved over the years, transitioning from law enforcement to sales, where he excels in relationship building, high standards, and customer service. When he's not working, Nick enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching Patriots games, visiting breweries, and being on the water.

Maddie Elliott– Showroom Sales

Maddie grew up in Foxboro but moved to Cape Cod in 2019. She attended Bridgewater State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in management and was also captain of the school’s equestrian team. Maddie has worked in customer service roles in retail and veterinary services prior to joining the Mac Davis team. In her spare time, you can find Maddie at the barn with her horse, Boba or hanging out at home with her bulldog, Cooper.
